Parkhill, Smith and Cooper Inc. was a wonderful opportunity as an interior design student. The field trip was another great example of somewhere that would not only be a great way to start my design career but a great company with many resources. It was a great place to visit and keep in mind for my future.

The distinctive homes of the wonderful and talented architect, Jeff Seal approaches each project with an innovated perspective. On the field trip to two of the many beautiful Jeff Seal homes, the idea that caught my attention from each home was the distinction that Jeff Seal demonstrates depending on each client desires. Jeff Seal’s homes are a commitment from middle to the end. From the interiors, to the exteriors, every aspect of the home is up to the unique designs of the architect. The process includes the interior design selection, the materials, construction, and landscape design. Something that is important to many the clients when choosing an architect is that Jeff Seal will go with the client and pick out each selection going into their home. The two homes that were available to see were very different from one another. One had several chimneys and each one was shaped and designed differently. The other home had many carved and personal touches. Jeff Seal Homes of Distinction facilitates an organized selection process to ensure that every chosen material holds value in the final result of the project. Although the projects were not completed, the character and distinction throughout each home exemplifies the personal touches every home needs. The Jeff Seal architect business does not just include architects. The many behind the scenes people are what make the goal of each of these homes possible. During the field trip the interior designer and recently graduated designer walked around to each home explaining what was put into each design. Seeing these interior designers and the satisfaction of the finished product was not only an impact but gave the confidence that every interior design student should experience. The field trip to see Jeff Seal homes of distinction was a wonderful opportunity and experience to have in case any occasions needing an internship or even someone to look up to. Jeff Seal is an architect that has made an impact in something that means so much to so many people and it was an honor to see him and his work personally.
